Well old Punxatawney Phil saw his shadow which means 6 more weeks of winter. If they are as "harsh" as they have been that
will mean the boating season will start sooner! So it is time to start planning for the 2012 boating season!

Well I just happened to be at the Webbers Falls Lock and Dam Thursday the 8th of December when what to my surprise
I should see..... The Nina and the Pinta! Had I gone back in time, was I in a parallel dimension? No I wasn’t. And I
didn’t just happen to be at the locks. We had heard over the VHF radio here at the marina that the replica boats were
waiting at the locks to return to the Gulf. Luckily they had to do maintenance on the lock and it gave me enough time to get
there to photograph them going through. After they left I rushed errr drove safely down to Webbers Falls to get some pictures
of them on the river. They were in Muskogee from November 22nd until the 8th of December at the Three
Forks Harbor. For the pictures click on the picture.
Great news every one! The Corp. Of Engineers has lifted the Blue Green Algae alert for Lake Tenkiller! We can now enjoy
the water with out fear of the BGA. So get your bathing suits on and splash to your hearts content! Whoo Hoo!
Well as you can probably tell by the leaves changing and the colder temperatures that winter is just about upon us, That
means it is time to shut the boat house water. We are planning on shutting it off Monday Nov. 7th or Tuesday Nov.
8th. We should still have water at the gas dock if you need it.
I was diving in the dive park Oct. 17th when I ran across something in the bow of one of the "wrecks". ( It’s
not great video, I just shot it because it was my first "target" with my dive camera. I didn’t know what I would find.)
Well it is getting to be that time of the season to start thinking about getting your boat winterized. Click on the link
below to go to the 2011 winterization form page. You can either click on the link for a PDF file or right click on the picture
and choose print. Please call us to verify we received your form just in case it gets lost.
Please contact the marina if your boat is dependent upon electricity to protect it against cold weather. Although we are
not responsible if the electrical service is interrupted to the marina, we will do our very best to winterize your boat or
start your generator should a power outage occur. But we need to have you on our list.
Please do not leave anything a racoon or otter might consider as food on your boat or slip. They can do a lot of damage
when they look for something to eat. Also please do not intentionally leave out food to feed them.
Important info:
The Marina's insurance carrier is requesting that we get copies of each boaters boat insurance to keep on
file. If you could please make a copy and mail, fax or e-mail it to us. Thank You!
